Ak-Sar-Ben

2008 LIVESTOCK SHOW TO BE HELD SEPTEMBER 23-28, 2008

The Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Youth Livestock Exposition is scheduled for September 23-28, 2008 at the Qwest Center.

More than 2,000 4-H families from an eight-state area participate in the Expo. Categories of this 4-H only competition are Dairy, Feeder Calf & Breeding Beef, Horse, Market Beef, Market Broilers, Meat Goats, Market Lamb and Market Swine.

To be eligible to exhibit at the Ak-Sar-Ben Livestock Exposition the 4-H member must be at least 10 years of age by January 1, and must meet the requirement for exhibition as set by 4-H office for state and interstate shows in state of 4-H membership. 4-H members having completed their membership eligibility in a state are ineligible to enter the Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Livestock Expo as a member of another state. Horse exhibitors must be 12 years of age by January 1 of the current year.

Entry forms are available in the 4-H Office on the fairgrounds during the Cass County Fair during August or in the Extension office before then.
